Installing IBM Endpoint Manager v9 Console

Installing the console is relatively easy.  Below is the step-by-step screen shots of my installation of the console onto my Windows Server 2012 root server for a newly stood up infrastructure.

I won’t describe every single screen shot… but will provide additional details when there are decisions to be made.

I have not linked this new infrastructure to my LDAP server for authentication, so I will need to log in with the user account I setup during the server installation process.

There are no major changes to the Console GUI, so navigation should be familiar to those who know their way around the v8+ console.  Also note there are no clients reporting into this infrastructure nor is there any content.  The Server’s client has yet to be installed and the Gather service has not finished processing the BES Support site yet.

The BES Support site contains definitions for many things including the “BigFix Management” domain, licensing, and other content vital to any healthy infrastructure.  Once the Gather service has completed, the additional data will automatically populate into the console.
